Applications can be taken in advance. Applicants must apply by mid-November, AND YOU MUST BE A PHILADELPHIA RESIDENT TO APPLY. Unfortunately, CAPA is no longer able to accept non-Philadelphia residents.

Requirements Students must maintain a B average or higher and have an excellent record of attendance, punctuality, and behavior. City-wide test scores must range in the 70 percentile or higher.

*Please Note: Students from outside of Philadelphia may not apply.*

If these requirements are met, students will then be invited for an audition.

Auditions
In order to be accepted, students must pass an audition in one of six art areas: creative writing, drama, dance, instrumental music, vocal music, visual arts. Determining enrollment in any program is based on audition results, scholastic records, and integration guidelines. Students may audition in only one art field.
