Mr. Silverman: Congratulations to Kashif Uqdah, #407, for being the first freshmen to turn in money for the candy sale.

Ms. Baxter: WEDNESDAY, APRIL 30, is token day. Tokens will be distributed in the lunchroom during all lunch periods and afterschool, 3:00-3:15pm, in room 216. If you are absent, you will be to obtain tokens Thursday or Friday, May 1 or 2, during the first fifteen mintues of your lunch period in room 216 or after school on Thursday in room 216, 3:00-3:15pm. Tokens will not be distributed at any other time. All students must have their CAPA ID's to receive tokens. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE!

Students

Mr. Grosso: Students entering the building after 8:44am must produce a student ID or other form of picture ID in order to fill out a late card. All late cards must be filled completely (both parts) and ink.

Faculty

Mr. Pugh: TV's/VCR's are not to be removed from room 309. If you need a TV/VCR, you must see me in room 113 or call ext. 1130.

Ms. Baxter: REMINDER!!! Do NOT accept checks under $25.00. NO checks should be accepted two (2) weeks prior to your event; ONLY cash or money orders are acceptable.

Counselor's Corner

Mr. Perno: Volunteers are needed for the Saturday Arts Program at the Germantown Women's "Y." If interested, see Mr. Perno or call Alexis Young at (215) 927-5646.

Ms. Trent: GIRLS ONLY: Girls Exploration in Mathematics and Science (GEMS) program at Delaware State University. The program is designed to stimulate and extend related student's interest in mathematics, biology and information technology and related careers. Students must has an interest in science, maintain a "b" average and have completed Algebra 2 and Biology by July 2003. Applications and brochures are avaiable on Summer Opportunities bookcase outside the counselors' officies or by visiting http://www.dsc.edu/special/summer_programs.htm on the internet. Application Deadline: May 2, 2003.

Mr. Perno: Youth Rules Rally - April 26, 11:00am-3:00pm, The Gallery at Market East, 9th and Market Streets. The goal of the rally is to inform workers under age 18 of their labor rights and available employment services. Students can learn about different jobs you're allowed to work, the hours you can work and how to getworking papers.
